This stunning vintage Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) style covered compote or candy jar is executed in the iconic "Moon and Star" (originally introduced as "Palace") pattern. The rich amber glass body features large oval thumbprints enclosing star-like faceted rays set against a stippled background, complemented by a scalloped rim and a matching domed lid with a crown-style faceted finial. The piece stands firmly on a hollow, tiered round foot decorated with matching pressed star motifs. It is an exceptionally vibrant decorative accent that catches and refracts light brilliantly.
