This is the sought-after "take-apart" model featuring the interlocking system patented under U.S. Patent No. 1,991,654 by Jacob E. Brubaker. The vehicle separates cleanly into two main cast components: the deep blue body shell and the black chassis/fender assembly. It retains its original stamped details on the underside of the fenders, reading "Patd 1991654" and "22050", with the factory mold number "203" embossed inside the blue casting. The patent was granted on February 19, 1935, to Jacob E. Brubaker, who was the master toy designer for The Hubley Manufacturing Company in Lancaster, PA. Hubley held the exclusive assignment for it.
