This is a remarkable matched pair of full-sized Victorian parlor lamps, circa 1890–1905. Standing a commanding 20 inches tall to the top of the chimneys, these lamps feature a classic "composite" construction typical of high-quality American lighting from the turn of the century.

The heavy, solid cast iron bases feature a tiered, step-down pedestal design with a clean, dark finish that provides excellent stability for their height. The stems are crafted from white opal glass (a premium, semi-translucent variety of milk glass), which serves as a luminous canvas for the finely detailed, hand-painted owl portraits.

The pair is uniquely distinguished by their complementary pressed glass oil fonts: one features a clear floral-cut design, while the other offers a frosted floral motif. Both lamps are equipped with original brass Eagle burners manufactured by Plume & Atwood and are complete with tall glass chimneys.
