Offered is a scarce, all-original Hubley "Lindy" monoplane, celebrating Charles Lindbergh's flight in the Spirit of St. Louis. This is the miniature version, often referred to as a "penny toy" or salesman sample size. It features a cast iron fuselage and wings in an original sea-blue paint finish with "LINDY" embossed on the top wing. The front features a nickel-plated radial engine and a functional spinning propeller. The underside of the wings is clearly marked with the model numbers 1720 and C2.

Condition Report: Very Good vintage condition for a toy of this age. The plane retains a significant amount of its original blue paint with honest play-wear and minor surface oxidation primarily on the wing edges and tail. The nickel plating on the engine and propeller is intact with a handsome darkened patina. The wheels and axle are original and roll freely. No cracks, repairs, or breaks to the iron.
