Offering a charming antique cast iron Scottish Terrier (Scotty) figurine produced by the renowned Crescent Metal Works of Reading, Pennsylvania. This authentic 1930s miniature features the highly desirable original green "cold-painted" finish, which has aged into a wonderful, authentic patina.

The casting is crisp, showing the distinct "wire-haired" texture of the breed and the characteristic alert ears and upright tail. The "CRESCENT" hallmark is embossed clearly on the side/underbelly, confirming its provenance as a genuine piece from the Reading foundry. Unlike modern reproductions, this piece features tight seams and a substantial weight for its size. 

Retains a remarkable amount of its original 1930s green factory paint. We have intentionally left this piece in its as-found state to protect the integrity of the historical surface, a feature highly prized by serious cast iron enthusiasts.

Condition: Excellent antique condition. The piece retains a significant amount of its original green paint. There is appropriate "honest wear" and paint loss consistent with age, revealing the dark iron beneath, which only serves to authenticate its vintage status. No cracks, breaks, or repairs. We have chosen to leave the surface as-found to preserve the historical patina.
