A rare, exceptionally substantial antique 19th-century copper Netilat Yadayim (Negel Vasser) hand washing laver. While this form is a staple of Jewish ceremonial life, this particular example is distinguished by its incredible "industrial" weight of over 2 pounds and a remarkably deep, undisturbed chocolate-brown patina.

The vessel features a classic flared form with two robust, hand-hammered copper handles secured by heavy rivets—a design essential for the halakhic requirements of ritual washing. The interior retains a natural, aged verdigris, and the exterior surfaces show the distinctive marks of hand-planishing. This piece is offered in its authentic, as-found state, preserving the historical integrity and "soul" that collectors and scholars of antique Judaica value.
