This is a sophisticated Victorian composite stand lamp dating to the late 19th century. The lamp features a clear glass font beautifully decorated with a delicate etched Daisy and Fern motif. A hallmark of "composite" construction, this piece skillfully combines three distinct materials: a glass font, a fluted metal stem with a rich aged patina, and a solid, square white marble base.
Fluorescence & UV Reactivity: The glass font exhibits a vibrant lime-green fluorescence when exposed to 365nm UV light. This reaction is characteristic of high-quality 19th-century glass that utilized manganese as a de-colorizing agent. This "secret" glow is a highly sought-after feature for collectors of early American pattern glass and fluorescent mineral enthusiasts. I cannot confirm whether or not it's uranium glass as it hasn't been checked with a 395nm light.
