This is an exceptional example of a traditional Eastern European "bench-type" Hanukkah lamp. The backplate is an intricate work of folk art, featuring two mirrored Lions of Judah supporting a central Tree of Life motif. The design is framed by two elegant spiral-twist columns, a hallmark of 19th-century Judaic metalware.

Unique to this piece is the presence of the original Shamash font at the apex, which is often missing or broken on lamps of this age. The bottom features a classic "bench" reservoir with eight hand-carved oil wells. The reverse shows the expected sand-casting marks and authentic structural reinforcements consistent with period foundry techniques.

Condition: The menorah is in excellent antique condition with a rich, dark as-found patina. There is evidence of historic use, including minor wax residue and authentic oxidation (verdigris) in the crevices, which has been preserved to maintain historical integrity. No major cracks or repairs are noted. The casting remains crisp, and the backplate is structurally sound.
