This charming set of five vintage glass plates from the Depression era features the iconic Cameo (also known as Ballerina or Dancing Girl) pattern by Anchor Hocking. The design showcases a central medallion with a graceful ballerina figure, encircled by intricate swags of beads, floral garlands, scrolls, and ornate motifs that evoke Art Deco elegance. The plates are crafted in a translucent green hue, infused with uranium oxide, which gives them their signature vaseline glass appearance and causes them to fluoresce a vibrant green under UV black light (as demonstrated in the provided photos).

The set includes:

• Four round plates, approximately 9.25 inches in diameter, ideal as bread and butter plates, saucers, or sherbet liners.

• One square plate, approximately 8.25 inches across, commonly used as a luncheon or salad plate.

The pattern was one of Anchor Hocking's first mold-etched lines and remains highly popular for its detailed craftsmanship and historical significance.
