This authentic, mid-century Israeli lithographed tin Tzedakah box (traditionally known as a Pushke) was issued by the Jewish National Fund (Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael). Featuring a iconic two-tone blue and cream color scheme, one side displays an early map of the State of Israel (extending down to Eilat), while the reverse prominently features the Star of David flag.
The side panel bears the official printing and production marks in Hebrew, noting production by Haim Murro in Jerusalem and lithograph printing by the historic firm A. Levin-Epstein Ltd. It includes its original wire hanging loop at the top and the bottom hinged coin-release door. A highly collectible piece of early Israeliana and Judaica history.
