Hand-built from earthenware ceramic, this piece features a high-relief figure of a Klezmer musician playing the violin. The figure is detailed with expressively textured facial features, a cap, and a fringed tallit accented in shades of cobalt blue, soft green, and silver lustred highlights. This mezuzah exemplifies the fusion of classic Jewish folk iconology with modernist tactile clay sculpture.
