This is a beautiful, complete set of four (4) vintage hammered brass personal ashtrays or miniature trinket dishes made in Israel by the renowned Nordia workshop. Each dish features a different embossed central motif representing iconic Israeli and biblical symbols:

1. The Spies' Grapes: (Eshkol Hagefen) representing the bounty of the land.

2. The Palm Tree: A symbol of peace and the Judean landscape.

3. The Lyre (Kinnor): Associated with King David.

4. The Amphora/Urn: Representing ancient archaeological heritage.

The dishes feature a classic "biomorphic" or rounded triangle shape with dual cigarette rests, typical of the Mid-Century Modern era. They possess a rich, aged patina and the "pebbled" textural finish for which Nordia is famous.

The brass shows typical oxidation and "verdigris" (greenish tint) in the recessed areas, which many collectors prefer as a sign of authenticity.
