Rare and fully complete antique brass finger lamp / hand lamp / courting lamp from circa 1860–1880, in untouched estate condition. Features the original round-wick burner with cylindrical wick tube, scalloped thumb-wheel advancer, and even remnants of the original fibrous round wick still in place—a detail rarely preserved. Includes the original conical brass cap attached by its chain for safe storage, applied finger ring handle, and domed font with heavy black carbonized oil residue inside from authentic use. Beautiful original patina with areas of bright brass contrasting darkened lacquer, no cleaning or restorations performed. Perfect display piece with historical functionality.
