This museum-quality Victorian kerosene stand lamp (circa 1885–1895) represents the pinnacle of 19th-century art glass lighting. It features a vibrant Cranberry Opalescent Reverse Swirl font, showcasing a deep ruby hue achieved through the use of gold chloride in the glass batch. The opalescence is crisp and well-defined, swirling counter-clockwise in a rare "reverse" orientation.
The font is professionally joined to a clear EAPG (Early American Pressed Glass) pedestal base in the iconic Princess Feather (originally Rochelle) pattern. Remarkably, the clear base is composed of Uranium Flint Glass, producing a brilliant neon-green glow under 395nm/365nm UV light—a rare find for this specific pattern.ds Co.; Base by Bryce Brothers.
