This painting is a significant piece of local Massachusetts Judaica history. Created by UMass Amherst alumna Deb Karpman, it depicts the Kotel (Western Wall) with children in the foreground and a panoramic view of the Old City. The word "Shalom" is beautifully integrated into the sky in a ghostly, flame-like Hebrew script.
