Presented for your consideration is a stunning Victorian-era Composite Stem Lamp from the esteemed Collection of the late Eleanor and David Gestler of Trafford, PA. This piece is a quintessential example of late 19th-century American domestic lighting, featuring a rare and vibrant powder blue milk glass base.

The lamp is designed with a square, tiered pedestal base that supports a clear glass font in the "Canadian Bullseye" pattern (also known in glass circles as "Bullseye Fine Detail"). This specific combination of a clear patterned font and a colored opaque base is highly sought after by collectors of EAPG (Early American Pattern Glass).

Literary Reference: This pattern and style of composite lamp are documented in the definitive guides by Catherine M. V. Thuro, Oil Lamps: The Kerosene Era in North America (Vol. 1, p. 270 and Vol. 2, p. 100).

The lamp is fitted with its original-style Plume & Atwood "Banner" burner, a top-tier brass component of the era. The wick turner is clearly marked "Banner P&A Mfg Co." and the burner features the functional "Queen Anne" hinged deflector for easy lighting.
