It rests upon a pedestal base supported by four robust cast-brass lion-paw feet, a hallmark of Regency design. The spigot is original, featuring a decorative t-handle and a classical tapered spout. The interior reveals a central cylindrical heat tube (for a heated iron rod or "slug") and a tinned lining, which was standard for period food safety. The underside features a hinged door for accessing the heating element.
