Available for your collection is believed to be an early 20th-century cast iron still bank manufactured by the renowned Kenton Hardware Company of Kenton, Ohio. This is the hard-to-find 8.5-inch large format model, which carries significantly more presence and detail than the more common 5.5" or 6.5" variations. It features the classic "Dreadnought" era silhouette with two turrets, dual funnels, and distinct deck portholes. This piece is a "survivor" that has not been tampered with or restored.
Origin: Kenton, Ohio, USA
Age: Circa 1915
Material: Heavy Cast Iron
Condition: Excellent Structural Integrity. This bank is believed to be an original 1915 casting—not a modern recast or reproduction. It features a desirable two-tone factory paint scheme (blue hull and cream superstructure) with an excellent "alligator" patina that provides physical proof of its century-old age. There are no hairline cracks, chips, or "cold-shuts" which are common in these larger, more complex castings. It is held together by its original single flat-head screw.
