This is an authentic matching pair of Early American Pressed Glass (EAPG) kerosene stand lamps in the Bullseye and Fan pattern (also known to collectors as Doric). Produced in the late 19th century, this pattern is celebrated for its bold, architectural geometric motifs and crisp, flint-like glass clarity.
The lamps stand approximately 10 inches tall to the top of the burners with 4-inch wide bases. The fonts feature clear, brilliant glass with well-defined bullseye "eyes" and radiating fans.
The burners are period-authentic highlights:
-
Burner 1: Marked "E. Miller & Co." (Venus model), a premier manufacturer of the Victorian era.
-
Burner 2: Marked "Fireside Plume & Atwood," another iconic name in American lighting history.
Condition Report: The glass fonts and bases are in excellent antique condition with no cracks. One lamp has a small chip or imperfection to the top edge (about ¼ inch). One lamp has a small hole drilled through the center stem—a common historical modification for 20th-century electrical conversion. Both burners show a rich, aged brass patina; each is missing one chimney prong/tine (3 remaining on each), but they remain sturdy for display. No chimneys or wicks are included.
